Notes (AS 1684.2 Tables 36 & 37):

i) Table outputs are Maximum Roof Load Width (RLW) in mm for the given stud, stud spacing and loading conditions.

ii) Maximum roof load widths are based on a maximum total sheet roof, framing and ceiling mass of 40 kg/m², tile roof of 90 kg/m², and flooring mass of 40 kg/m².

iii) Table 36 = not notched studs; Table 37 = studs notched to 20 mm depth.

iv) Studs for internal non-loadbearing partitions (not carrying roof or floor loads) shall be as per Clause 6.3.5.

v) Large stud sizes may be nail-laminated vertically as per Clause 2.4.

vi) All stud walls shall be nogged at not more than 1350 mm centres.

vii) Wind classification N1/N2 only. For design parameters refer to Figure 6.12.
