Notes (AS 1684.2 Table 35):

i) Table 35 applies to floor bearers supporting upper and lower floor loads only — no roof loads are carried (use Tables 33 or 34 where roof loads are also present).

ii) Spans are based on a maximum flooring mass of 40 kg/m² for each floor level.

iii) Bearer ends may cantilever 25% of the allowable single span, not exceeding 50% of the actual backspan.

iv) Minimum bearing length = 50 mm at end supports and 100 mm at internal supports for continuous spans. Some entries carry subscript bearing-length requirements — refer to AS 1684.2 Table 35 directly for those cells.

v) Multiple members nailed together as per Clause 2.3.

vi) Wind classification N1/N2 only.
