Maximum roof load widths are based on a maximum total sheet roof, framing and ceiling mass of 40 kg/m² and tile roof 90 kg/m². For guidance on roof and ceiling mass refer to Appendix A.
Studs for internal non-loadbearing bracing walls and partitions (not carrying roof loads) shall be as per Clause 6.3.5.
Edge distances for some sheet bracing materials may require a minimum stud width of 45 mm for joining sheets.
Jamb studs for openings in internal load bearing walls shall be as per Table 10.
Large stud sizes may be made up by vertical nail lamination as per Clause 6.1.4.
