Table 7 — Notes

  1. Maximum RLW based on sheet roof 40 kg/m² and tile roof 90 kg/m² (incl. framing and ceiling mass).
  2. Studs for internal non-loadbearing bracing walls and partitions (not carrying roof loads) shall be as per Cl. 6.3.5.
  3. Edge distances for some sheet bracing materials may require a minimum stud width of 45 mm for joining sheets.
  4. Large stud sizes may be made up by vertical nail lamination per Cl. 2.4.
  5. All stud walls shall be nogged at not greater than 1350 mm centres.
  6. Maximum tension load for tie-down: 8.5 kN per stud or nail-laminated laminate.
